Frog Walk – Kids & Families
March 21 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Saturday, March 21, 4:00pm for (kids & families) and 7:00pm for (grown-ups). Frog Walk at Ivey Redmon Park, 908 Beeson Road, Kernersville MAP Learn about our local frogs and toads with a walk through the wetlands of Ivey Redmon Park (in the woods behind the playing fields). Led by NC Sierra Club Foothills Group outings leader Henry Fansler and Wendi Hartup, Kernersville Stormwater Manager, the frog walks will begin with a brief presentation about what species you may see or hear, how to identify them and their important role in habitats. A NC toad and frog call app is available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.johneyboy.frogcalls&hl=en_US&gl=US. Anyone participating in this activity should be prepared for wet, muddy conditions and dress for the weather. We will meet at the soccer field parking lot. Look for the giant dragonfly sign. Participants under 18 must be with a parent or guardian. Register with Henry Fansler at henryfansler@windstream.net or 336.473.0283 (indicate which frog walk attending).
