Winston-Salem Medicine Drop

Weekdays 8am-5pm

This program is only for pills, gel capsules, and vitamins. No other form of drugs will be accepted. The Pill Collection Drop Box is a program for citizens as a convenient and safe way to dispose of unneeded or unwanted pills from their homes. Proper and safe disposal of pills serves to reduce the possibility of accidental or criminal misuse of these drugs as well as providing a safe alternative to disposing of medications in landfills and/or sewer systems which may contaminate waterways. Forsyth County residents may drop off e-waste and household hazardous waste at the EnviroStation at no charge. Click here for a list of what is accepted.

Froggy Scavenger Hunt

Available through the month of March during library opening hours.

Explore the library and enjoy a friendly challenge with our monthly Scavenger Hunt.  Hidden in the Southside Branch Library’s children’s area are 11 different types of frogs.  Once you’ve found all of them, turn in your decoded message and retrieve a prize.
