Water. We take it for granted. We turn on the tap, take a shower, flush the toilet and it’s there! But do you know where it comes from, how it’s processed and how it gets to your faucet? Gather for this family-friendly session outside the Great Room at Salem Lake Marina Center. After a look at the dam with our expert, we’ll move inside for a presentation. Enjoy spectacular views of one of our drinking water sources and discover how we turn it into top-notch drinking water delivered straight to your tap! Guests can win free gifts and prize drawings. No RSVP is needed for this program, scheduled to last 60 minutes and led by Forsyth Creek Week sponsor Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities. Prizes include: Twin City Thunderbirds hockey tickets, Fairgrounds Arena ice skating passes & skate rental, Salem Lake kayak rentals and Forsyth Creek Week T-shirts.
