It also accepts electronic waste\, such as computers and televisions\, that are banned from landfills under North Carolina law. Cooperative Extension\, Forsyth County Center\, Forsyth County Soil and Water Conservation District\, and Forsyth County Emergency Management\, for a practical emergency preparedness workshop during Forsyth Creek Week. This session will focus on the types of emergencies most likely to impact the Piedmont of North Carolina — including flooding\, severe storms\, winter weather\, and other disruptions — with special attention to water-related risks. Participants will learn what to do before\, during\, and after an emergency\, where to find reliable information in Forsyth County\, how to determine whether their home is located in a floodplain\, and where to access updates about shelters and community resources. DESCRIPTION:*EVENT FULL* \n  \nHave you wanted to fish in Winston-Salem but fees\, license requirements\, or equipment needs held you back? This event is for you! \n  \nAll equipment and bait for basic fishing will be provided by Forsyth Creek Week\, plus free pizza! License requirements will be waived for that location and time\, courtesy of NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Fishing fees usually in effect at Salem Lake will also be covered by Forsyth Creek Week. The Wake Forest University Fishing Club will help fishers bait hooks\, teach how to cast\, and help land and release fish. Fishing off the pier or in a boat only – no bank fishing allowed.
