DESCRIPTION:The Pill Collection Drop Box is a program for citizens as a convenient and safe way to dispose of unneeded or unwanted pills from their homes. Proper and safe disposal of pills serves to reduce the possibility of accidental or criminal misuse of these drugs as well as providing a safe alternative to disposing of medications in landfills and/or sewer systems. Keeping medicine out of our landfills and sewers keeps our environment and drinking water safer. \n  \nRestrictions: This program is only for pills. No other form of drugs will be accepted. (No liquids\, gels\, sharps\, syringes or aerosol products.) This program is only for households. Pills from businesses\, health care facilities\, long-term care facilities\, pharmaceutical representatives\, pharmacies\, doctor offices and veterinary clinics will not be accepted. \n  \nLocations \n\nPublic Safety Center (725 N. DESCRIPTION:3RC EnviroStation accepts chemical and other household hazardous waste that should not be disposed of in a landfill. It also accepts electronic waste\, such as computers and televisions\, that are banned from landfills under North Carolina law. Click on the link here to see the types of wastes accepted on the second page. \n  \nThis waste could cause environmental damage or contaminate groundwater if disposed of improperly.  Forsyth County residents may drop off electronic waste and household hazardous waste at the EnviroStation at no charge. Regular trash\, recyclables\, ammunition\, explosives\, radioactive\, medical/infectious waste and e-cigarette waste is not accepted. This is a free service provided to all Forsyth County residents by the City of Winston-Salem Stormwater Division and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
