DESCRIPTION:Join Chris Marsh of Forsyth Audubon for a Family Nature Walk.  We’ll explore the birds and water fowl of Salem Lake along with their habitats.  Bring your curiosity\, binoculars if you have them\,  and anything else to make you comfortable\, water\, snacks\, shoes you can get muddy.  We will have some extra binoculars if needed.  Don’t let that keep you from joining the fun.  We will meet by the Salem Lake playground. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Free Fishing at Salem Lake
DESCRIPTION:*EVENT FULL* \n  \nHave you wanted to fish in Winston-Salem but fees\, license requirements\, or equipment needs held you back? This event is for you! \n  \nAll equipment and bait for basic fishing will be provided by Forsyth Creek Week\, plus free pizza! License requirements will be waived for that location and time\, courtesy of NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Fishing fees usually in effect at Salem Lake will also be covered by Forsyth Creek Week. The Wake Forest University Fishing Club will help fishers bait hooks\, teach how to cast\, and help land and release fish. Fishing off the pier or in a boat only – no bank fishing allowed.
