DESCRIPTION:Join us for a live-only screening of VS. GOLIATH: APPALACHIA with speakers Crystal Cavalier-Keck and Jason Campos Crazy Bear Keck\, founders of 7 Directions of Service. Discussions to follow the showing of the film. Free and open to the public at Temple Emanuel Winston-Salem (201 Oakwood Dr). \n  \nAbout the film: Deep in the hollows of the Appalachian Mountains\, the construction of a fracked gas pipeline rips through mountaintops\, forests\, and streams\, bearing down on rural communities across Appalachia. Russell\, an Army veteran who once swore an oath to protect and serve his country\, now finds his home\, waters\, and forests under threat. He enlists in the battle to defend his community. Russell joins forces with people along the pipeline route\, including Georgia\, an apple farmer in Virginia; Maury\, a retired schoolteacher in West Virginia; and Crystal and Jason\, Indigenous community leaders in North Carolina. Together\, they form a movement that faces numerous setbacks as they take on the multibillion-dollar corporations behind the pipeline. When one of the nation’s most powerful politicians intervenes\, the stage is set for a high-stakes showdown. \n  \nParkway United Church of Christ\, Temple Emanuel Environmental Movement\, Green Street Methodist Church and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship are collaborating for the 2026 monthly environmental film/speaker series in the hosting of these films. DESCRIPTION:Speed will be the name of the game at the Lewisville Branch Library’s Jigsaw Puzzle Contest. Teams will go head-to-head to see who can put their puzzle together the fastest. The victors will win a small prize. Recommended for adults\, teens and tweens. Team registration is required. Game Rules:\n\n 	Register your team (between 2-4 people) by Thursday\, March 19. Registration will open March 1\, 2026 at 9:00am.\n 	Each team will have three hours to complete the same 750-piece puzzle. The first team to finish wins a small prize!\n 	If none of the teams complete their puzzle at the end of three hours\, the team that has the fewest number of puzzle pieces left wins.
