DESCRIPTION:Join us for a volunteer storm drain marking event! You and your group can pick a neighborhood or be assigned one to help label storm drains and raise awareness that only rain should go down the drain. These simple actions help prevent pollution\, protect our creeks\, and keep our communities beautiful. What’s provided: Safety vests\, drain marker placards and adhesive\, and gloves. What you should bring: Sunscreen\, water bottle\, closed-toed shoes\, and friends! Please sign up for your group (1 slot = 1 group) and list the number of people expected for your group and if you have a preferred neighborhood or area of Kernersville you want to mark. Groups can be any size. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign liability waivers. Please register your group [link released 3 weeks prior to event date].

Cody Orman\, Environmental Educator\, will lead an exploration of Salem Creek. Natalie Ohlsson\, Outdoor Educator\, will guide participants through the microscope lab to examine their findings. Andy Szabat\, Keep Winston Salem Beautiful Coordinator\, will lead the live-staking event. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED- our conservation team will provide all tools and guidance.
