Enjoy a peaceful morning by the creek as we welcome the day with gentle movement\, mindfulness\, and the sounds of nature. \n  \nWe’ll begin with a guided mindful birding session with Forsyth Audubon\, followed by a simple stretch & flow led by a community volunteer. Join as us we ground ourselves in nature – feeling the grass between our toes\, breathing with the trees\, and noticing the small things. \n  \nA calming Creek Week experience for adults\, free of charge. Pre-registration is required to secure your spot. Register at the link here. When arriving at Long Creek Park\, we’ll meet at the picnic shelter then take a short walk (0.2 miles) down a paved path and arrive at our event location next to the creek. SUMMARY:Forsyth Audubon Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join Forsyth Audubon for our Monday Bird Walk at Winston Lake Park guided by Tim Miller.  All skill levels are welcome.  We will meet at the north end of the park by the pier located at Winston Lake Park 1344\, Winston Park Dr\, Winston-Salem.  Late March is the end of “weird duck season” so we’ll scan the water for any lingering waterfowl. It also is the start of spring migration. The habitat at the lake is perfect for the vanguards of that northward movement\, Louisiana Waterthrush\, Common Yellowthroat\, and various swallow species. We’ll patrol the water’s edge in hopes of scrounging up some “first of springs”. We’ll keep the walk short and flat\, but things may get a bit muddy!
