DESCRIPTION:Come have some fun playing in our model of a creek\, complete with leaf packs\, rocks\, snails and dragonflies!   Scared of bugs? Don’t worry\, we’re practicing with fake ones to learn which insects are most sensitive to pollution in the water. We’ll talk about our watershed\, how the storm system works\, and how to be safe in a real creek or stream. By the time we’re finished practicing\, you’ll be ready to try out your “bug eyes” in a real creek or stream near you!   Program presented by Piedmont Triad Regional Council-Stormwater Smart. Recommended for children ages 4-11.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate our water with us at the Forsyth Creek Week Kickoff Jamboree! We’ll have activities from environmental organizations from around Forsyth County and other Forsyth Creek Week partners\, food trucks\, games\, and more! The event will be held at the Fourth of July Park in Kernersville from 2pm-5pm. Parking is available at the neighboring school parking lot. \n  \nThere are so many things to do at the Jamboree! \n\nLearn about our waters from lots of local environmental organizations\nMeet live birds of prey from Owl’s Roost Wildlife Education\nFind cool bugs in the creek\nPlay games in the Kids Zone with Kaleideum\nAnd more!
