Nature Notebooks

Pick up your Nature Notebook at the Lewisville Branch starting on March 16 (while supplies last). Find plants that are native to North Carolina in the wild and draw them. When you’ve drawn a plan in each required category, bring your notebook to the Lewisville Branch by May 31 for a prize. Each Nature Notebook comes with a packet of wildflower seeds. We’ve hidden pictures of river critters all around the library for you to find, and you might even learn a few fun facts along the way. Grab a clue sheet from our Creek Week display to get started. Turn in your finished sheet at the circulation desk to earn a prize. Ages 6-12.
Take and Make Craft – Raindrop Suncatcher

Ages 2-6. In honor of Forsyth County Creek Week, you are invited to join the Children’s Library on the front lawn for Creek Discovery Play. This is an outdoor activity, so bundle up and come out to explore plants and other things that live in our local creeks. In case of rain this activity will be moved indoors.
