Cisterns & Rain Barrels
Cisterns are containers used for for collecting, storing and using rainwater for landscape irrigation and other uses. The rainwater is collected from impervious surfaces, such as roofs, into a container (called a cistern) for later use. Rain barrels are form of cistern and are an easy way for homeowners to collect rainwater from their roof gutters.
