Learn about our waterways, get your feet wet sampling macroinvertebrates in our creek, and help restore our shoreline and wildlife habitat at Salem Lake.
Birding Basics
Have you heard the call? Welcome to your newest obsession! The Forsyth Audubon Society will host a 1-hour workshop on birding basics and then lead a birding walk at Southside Branch Library.
Mill Site Trail Tour at Historic Bethabara
Visit Historic Bethabara Park for a guided trail tour to visit the archaeological site of the Bethabara Mill and other historic landmarks in the park.
Planting Party at Ivey Redmon
Be a part of restoring nature by joining Town of Kernersville Stormwater in planting beautiful plants and trees along the creek at Ivy Redmon Sports Complex.
YRK and Town of Lewisville Paddle
Come enjoy an early paddle on the Yadkin River with the Yadkin Riverkeeper and hosted by the Town of Lewisville. Paddlers are encouraged to bring their own boats. We will have a limited number of boats to use if you do not have your own.
Creek Crawl at Bethania’s Black Walnut Bottom
NC Sierra Club Foothills Group will lead a fun and informative creek crawl along Bethania’s Black Walnut Bottom Trail, where creeks feed into Muddy Creek. Learn about Moravian history and life in the creek.
